Terms of use

Last updated: 3 September 2026

By using the Twiza app or website, you accept these terms. Twiza is a project run by Lokman and Besma Bouider. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the service.

Purpose of the service

Twiza lets you report illegal waste dumps in public space, see them on a map, and organise volunteer cleanups. The service is provided free of charge.

Your account

You provide accurate information and keep it up to date. One account belongs to a single natural person. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for actions taken from your account.

Your content

You keep the rights to the photos and text you publish. You grant Twiza a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce and display that content as part of the service: the public map, report pages, share cards, cleanup summaries, and this website.

You warrant that you are entitled to publish each photo, that it was taken at the stated location, and that it does not feature an identifiable person.

Content rules and moderation

The rules for reports and accounts are set out in the Community charter, which forms part of these terms.

Twiza may hide content, issue a warning, suspend or ban an account for a breach, depending on severity. Any account sanction can be appealed once, from the notification you receive.

Availability and changes

The service is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of continuous availability or of being error-free. It may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time.

Liability

Reports are user statements and are not verified one by one. Twiza does not guarantee the accuracy of a report and is not responsible for what third parties, in particular local authorities, do with it.

To the extent permitted by law, Twiza is not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service.

Personal data

The processing of your data is described in the Privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Algerian law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will seek an amicable solution before any action; failing that, the competent courts of Algiers will have jurisdiction.
